Tressa Mohler - Owner and Director
Tressa Mohler, Owner and Director, has studied dance since the age of 3 and has become an accomplished dancer and teacher in all forms of dance including ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern and creative movement for young children. She received her B.A. in Dance and B.A. in Business Management from Barat College in Lake Forest, IL.
While earning her degrees, she studied under Rory Foster (formerly of ABT and author of Ballet Pedagogy: The Art of Teaching), Eileen Cropley (formerly of Paul Taylor Company), Harriet Ross, Julie Cartier, Joel Hall and many more. She has performed in pieces choreographed by Paul Taylor, Claire Bataille, Eileen Cropley, James Kelly and more. She has performed in community theater musicals and various fundraising performances in Chicago and Las Vegas.
From 1995-1998, she was Dance Department Head at the Valparaiso Conservatory of Performing Arts, developing the dance curriculum and organizing many outreach programs and performances. From 2001-2004, she studied and taught for Ca-Mar Dance School, headed by Roger and Lois Brindisi. In 2005, she purchased Ca-Mar Dance School and began Mohler Dance Academy where she continues to inspire and educate the next generation of dancers. Tressa is an active member of the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters.
